New app Smile Cam – beta testing now!

Imagine, you’re finally on that trip you always wanted to go on to London. You ask a stranger to take a photo of you and your friends in front of the pyramids, you get your phone back and…

Gaah! Your friend wasn’t smiling!

We all have that friend who always ruins a photo. So frustrating!

Smile Cam to the rescue!

If you take your photo with Smile Cam, the app waits patiently until the photo you want – with everyone in the photo smiling!

Just point the camera at the people you want to take the photo of. The red rectangles that appear over their faces will turn green when they smile.

Just press the smiley shutter button as per normal, and when everyone’s rectangle turns green, you will have the perfect photo, with a smile on every face!

Hooray!

But that’s not all. What else ruins a good photo?

Of course – how frustrating when you take a photo and someone’s eyes are closed!

Well, Smile Cam doesn’t just detect smiles – it can detect eyes as well – open or closed. Check the settings:

You have complete control over what Smile Cam detects – smile or no smile, how big a smile, eyes open or closed, and their probabilities.

Curious to try out Smile Cam? I’d love for you to join the beta and try it out! If you’re interested in joining, head over to the Smile Cam page, sign up your name and email, and you should receive an email within 24 hours with further instructions.
